R35 Nissan GT-R History
The future of the GT-R was unclear since the production demise of the R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R in 2002. However, Nissan supported the hopes that a new GT-R would be introduced with a radical concept for the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. Another concept, the Nissan GT-R Promo, followed at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show an gave an outlook at the way the final production version would look like. On October 24th, 2007 Nissan finally ended the uncertainty with the release of the new R35 GT-R in Japan. R35 Nissan GT-R Reviews
The luxury version of the Nissan GT-R, introduced for the 2011 model year, features an interior completely covered in leather. Further additions include a BOSE sound system, a modified engine and exterior parts shared with the SpecV. After four years of production, the Nissan GT-R receives an update for 2011 that should improve its already impressive capabilities even further. In the US, the facelifted GT-R will be sold from model year 2012 on. The facelifted Nissan GT-R features an uprated engine with 530 hp and improved fuel efficiency, improved handling, a refreshed exterior with improved aerodynamics, revised interior treatment and new wheels and tires. In base form, the Nissan GT-R is already one of the most capable sport cars in this world, and if you take money into the equation, nothing gets close to it. But then, the Nissan GT-R was developed as a gran turismo from the outset and not as a brute sports car. What potential lies under the stealth-fighter body, is shown with the Nissan GT-R SpecV, introduced to the Japanese market on February 2, 2009, which is specifically targeted at enthusiast drivers who desire race car-level performance in a street-legal vehicle. 2005 Nissan GT-R Promo Concept After the radical 2001 Nissan GT-R Concept, the Nissan GT-R Promo was unveiled at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show in 2005 to give an impression of how the production version of Nissan GT-R would look. The radical Nissan (Skyline) GT-R Concept introduced at the Toyko Motor Show in 20001 gave an impression of what the replacement of the Nissan Skyline GT-R would look like. However, the styling still received considerable changes, before the prodution of the R35 Nissan GT-R started. R35 Nissan GT-R Tuning & Parts
